Caz Junior Camp

July 21, 2019 02:00 PM -July 27, 2019 11:00 AM

Camp Cazadero is located northwest of Santa Rosa in the rolling hills north of the Russian River. It is a spacious camp especially suited for use by large groups, and its rustic accommodations make it ideal for youth. It is set on one thousand acres of open meadows and redwood groves, creating a setting of natural beauty.

The long road leading to the main camp is paved the first 1/2 mile, and graded dirt for the last 1 1/2 miles. The Site Director's house is on your right as you drive into camp. As you continue you will see the "Camp Caz" sign. The Northern California Nevada Conference of the United Church of Christ owns the camp.

Junior camp is for campers entering grades 4 to 6 in the fall of 2019.

Camp Cazadero is located outside Guerneville, in Sonoma County. Camp Caz has electricity and hot and cold water in each cabin, a big lodge and meeting areas. Food is cooked by the management staff. There is a big field for sports, a dancing/game slab, a fire bowl, vesper point, and pool in the midst of a mixed redwood, pine and broadleaf forest that provides the backdrop for life changing experiences. The weeks at camp vary, but they typically include:

  • small-group discussions on a scripture-based theme for the week
  • a Talent/No Talent Show for campers to show off their skills, skits, jokes, or none-of-the-above
  • daily evening worship services
  • hiking in stunning forests
  • swimming
  • games and sports
  • crafts
  • dance parties

Each week is an opportunity to praise and explore our Still Speaking God, nature & Creation, and friends both familiar and new.
